Carnival Muster Drill: Full In-Person Drills on 6 Ships

Carnival muster drill update: six Carnival sailings departing October 8–12, 2026 will hold a full, in-person safety drill instead of the usual e-muster. The ships: Carnival Spirit (Oct 8), Carnival Luminosa (Oct 9), Carnival Legend (Oct 11), Carnival Radiance (Oct 11), Carnival Firenze (Oct 12) and Carnival Miracle (Oct 12).

What happens: you report to your assigned muster station, crew check your Sail & Sign card, life jackets are demonstrated, and you'll hear the emergency signal: seven short blasts followed by one long blast. Food and drink service pauses during the drill. E-muster stays the standard on every other Carnival sailing. Why: every ship has to hold a full drill twice a year under US Coast Guard and SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) rules, according to Carnival brand ambassador John Heald. Carnival is emailing guests on these sailings before embarkation.
